Dr. Lindsay Kobayashi is a social epidemiologist who studies cognitive aging, literacy, and chronic disease risk behaviors among older populations in several countries, including the United States, Canada, England, and South Africa. Her research considers life course mechanisms of social inequalities in aging outcomes. She is affiliated with the Center for Social Epidemiology and Population Health in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Kobayashi completed a David E. Bell Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health in 2017. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health from University College London, UK, and an MSc in Epidemiology from Queen’s University, Canada.
